We are currently looking for a:
Freight Forwarder
As a Freight Forwarder, you will become part of the company’s Forwarding Team and play an important role in coordinating international transport operations.
Your responsibilities:
- Managing and supporting clients in the area of sea, road and rail freight forwarding
- Procuring transport capacity and coordinating shipments from start to finish
- Ensuring smooth and efficient execution of transport orders
- Supporting the department with operational, commercial and administrative tasks
- Processing and managing orders, transport instructions and shipment-related data
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and transport partners
- Identifying practical and digital solutions to improve operations
- Taking ownership of assigned clients and ensuring high service quality
What we are looking for:
- Relevant logistics qualification or minimum 2 years of experience as a Freight Forwarder, Transport Planner or within the trading/logistics sector
- Experience or knowledge of sea freight and container import processes is considered a strong advantage
- Good knowledge of TMS systems, Excel and MS Office tools such as Outlook
- Very good command of English
- Knowledge of Dutch, German or French will be an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Flexible, proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Commercial awareness combined with analytical thinking and cost consciousness
