We’re Hiring on Behalf of Our Client
For our international client operating within the freight forwarding and logistics sector, we are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their operations team in the Netherlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for logistics professionals who enjoy working in a dynamic international environment and want to take ownership of shipments from booking through to final delivery.
You’ll work closely with customers, carriers, customs partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international shipments across road, sea, air, and rail transport
- Organize transport bookings and secure capacity with carriers and subcontractors
- Negotiate freight rates and support cost-effective transport solutions
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including CMRs, Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers and relevant authorities
- Monitor shipments throughout the transportation process and proactively resolve operational issues
- Provide timely updates and excellent customer service to clients
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, customs requirements, and dangerous goods legislation where applicable (ADR, IMDG, IATA)
- Prepare quotations and support the development of long-term client relationships
- Maintain accurate shipment records within the transport management system
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport operations, or supply chain management
- Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and customs procedures
- Fluent and professional English communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience using transport management or logistics software
Nice to Have
- Polish or Dutch language skills as advantage
- Knowledge of ADR and/or IMDG regulations
- Qualification in logistics, transport, supply chain, or international trade
