For our client, an established Chartered Accountancy and Business Advisory practice in Dublin, we are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing specialist tax team.

The firm has a long-standing presence in the Irish market and advises both domestic and international businesses across tax, audit and accounting. Its tax team supports corporate and private clients across areas including restructuring, M&A, succession and retirement planning, inbound and outbound investment, relocation, and private client wealth and tax planning.

The client portfolio spans a broad range of industries, including technology, med-tech, manufacturing, renewable energy, property and hospitality.

This is a newly created position resulting from continued growth in demand for tax services, rather than a replacement hire. The role also offers flexibility to shape your focus around your experience and interests — whether that is broader tax consultancy, compliance or developing a specialist tax niche.

The role

As Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporate and private clients while leading the delivery of high-quality tax advice.

You will work closely with senior tax leadership and have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the firm’s tax offering.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a large and varied client portfolio and leading the delivery of tax advice.
  • Working directly with Tax Partners, Associate Partners and Directors.
  • Managing consultancy assignments across multiple tax areas.
  • Advising clients on business structuring, mergers & acquisitions, cross-border expansion and financing.
  • Providing succession and retirement planning advice to private clients and owner-managed businesses.
  • Liaising directly with Revenue, including managing Revenue audits.
  • Managing, coaching and developing members of the tax team.
  • Contributing to internal training and business development initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • CTA qualification and membership of the Irish Taxation Institute – required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience within a tax practice.
  • Currently operating at Manager or Assistant Manager level.
  • Broad technical knowledge and exposure across different tax areas.
  • Experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Desirable, but not essential: ACA or ACCA qualification, Top 10 accountancy firm experience and previous tax consultancy exposure.

What’s on offer

  • Hybrid working – home and office
  • Pension and life assurance
  • Employee incentive scheme
  • Professional subscriptions paid
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Corporate discounts and social club
  • Clear progression path to Senior Manager and beyond

Location: Sandyford, Dublin 18 | Hybrid
Employment: Permanent, Full-time
