About the Role
For our client in Oss (NL) we are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder specializing in European road transport. This person will manage daily forwarding operations, coordinate carriers across EU markets and support development of forwarding activities from the Netherlands office.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating FTL/LTL transport across Europe
- Selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and confirming transport orders
- Daily cooperation with clients and transport partners across EU markets
- Operational monitoring of shipments, solving delivery issues, delays, deviations
- Preparing operational documentation, CMR, system updates, invoicing data
- Supporting continuous improvement of forwarding efficiency and processes
- Cooperation with the Polish team + alignment on operational strategy
Requirements
- Min. 2–3 years experience in European road freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of EU road freight market & carriers
- Understanding of CMR, Incoterms, basic customs & international transport rules
- Excellent negotiation & relationship management skills
- Fluent English required (Polish or Dutch is an advantage)
- Independence, ownership mindset, problem solving and fast decision making
Nice to Have
- Experience working previously in NL logistics market
- Experience in domestic Benelux freight would be a plus
- Familiarity with modern TMS / digital freight platforms
